She's cool, sexy, talented and someone you will be seeing much more of on the big screen. Look out for Noureen DeWulf, a young Indian-American actress determined to make her mark in Hollywood. DeWulf is a rising star, retaining a reoccurring role on the popular UPN sitcom “Girlfriends,” appearing in the critically acclaimed short “West Bank Story,” and starring in the upcoming Universal Studios film “American Dreamz.” Recently she was offered her very own sitcom on the WB, “Mindy and Brenda,” produced by popular comedian Steve Martin. With her stock rising and her confidence as unfailing as ever, DeWulf is poised for a major breakthrough, and ready to take the spotlight in this week’s Young and Professional profile.

She is Indian with a bit of persian.

She is an Indian muslim.

reply

Where did you hear that! She has absolutely NO Persian in her!

reply

I think she said it herself on Vh1 that her parents are from India, but like her ancestors are from Iran. She also speaks a bit of Farsi which is the language in Iran.

reply

there are a lot of languages derived from Farsi. But even seeing her name, I could tell she wasn't Iranian...definitely Indian. Plus, Nousheen is a more common Farsi name. Noureen is just a play on Noreen which isn't traditional even though it's pretty clever.

WeLL WHEN THE DUST SETTLES, SHE IS FROM India...from Bollywood.....!!!!!

I saw that interview on VH1 "persianspice". She never said that her ancestors are from Iran. You have actual Iranian actresses to claim as your own--claim them!
