The Proposal

Is this real? The entire time I was watching this I thought no way is this real people are just not that good looking in real life, I mean EVERYONE in this video is gorgeous. Then he goes to the girls fathers grave site and asks permission for his daughters hand in marriage, really who does that anymore…. It was just too good to be true… too perfect. But maybe he is a really great guy that values family and loves this girl to death. I hope so, if so lucky girl to find someone like that. (I know from experience she's lucky because I found someone like that) If it's real that is.

So, I watched the whole thing. My first thoughts...wow, this guy must be loaded to have the time, resources and money to pull this off. Then I realized that this guy is either and actor or director in Hollywood(I was right on both accounts). One of his friends in the music videos, the black guy, plays on the TV show "The Originals". It probably wasn't cheap to get the movie voice over guy. That to me wasn't romantic... it was cheesy and done in a show off kind of way. I thought that the whole thing was ridiculously overdone so he could get his "actor" name out there. But, the part to me that was actually romantic was how he went to Sweden, to her fathers grave, to ask permission to marry her. That's was romantic.

Either way, it seems like a way for him to get his Hollywood name out there; to get people talking about him and his actress wife.

My husband said that their marriage is doomed because of it. That he will have to spend the rest of his life trying to top it or else it will seem like he isn't trying. Which made me laugh.

I also noticed that the proposal is listed under his credits as actor and not self. Makes me speculate that he is acting and this was made as a short film, not a video that he is playing himself in. I agree these people are doomed.
