Thank you: Peter Quinn, the assassin...

...for introducing me to Ludo Meyer, the writer. I just watched Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont and am dumbfounded by the film; how it's moved up to become an absolute favorite, and by Rupert's performance. A decade ago. (Did we know he sings?!) I know I shouldn't be surprised, yes he's great. But this film... Beyond. So impressed and just...grateful.

Me too. Mrs. Palfrey has been one of my favorite movies for years.

I discovered the film before Peter Quinn was even a thought, He was dating Keira Knightly at the time when he made this, and you can just see how young and gorgeous he was and how much he truly loved his "Sasa" (the beautiful and marvelous Joan Plowright).

I have been telling people for years about this beautiful gem of a film. I'm glad people are starting to see it, especially because the brilliant Joan Plowright can no longer make films because of her losing her eyesight.. This is exactly how I always want to remember.....as Mrs. Palrey/"Sasa".
