What a hard job to portray such an ugly character. After seeing Alex in The Butler and In Time and Tormented - and his YA movies - he is a true talent and a real actor.

Alex and Vanessa Redgrave play Mother and Son owner of a farm. They are both great in their roles. They have short screen time but powerful and pertinent to the story. Alex comes back at the end in a flash back. He is great. He plays a bad guy that definitely has mental problems and a limp which makes him really sort of scary. He pulls it off without being a cartoon characterish villain. His mother is good too where she feels bad for young Cecil but still treats him like a servant. Alex is able to remove Alex completely and become this other person. His accent is a perfect southern accent.
