Horrible person

Read an article where he says Tatum hates him. This guy refuses to pay his debts, acts anti social with his co workers and despite all that Tatum hooks him up a buddy to get him an apartment and then refuses to pay. Tatum hates me. Wonder why?

Channing sucks. Alex is hot.

Horrible people shoot up movie theaters and blow up buildings. As for Channing Magic Mike XXL was not only awful but a huge box office disappointment. Not to mention Jupiter Ascending and White House Down - which were box office disasters.

Calling him a "horrible person" is quite an exaggeration. I can agree it sounds like he's making excuses in an attempt to fix his reputation, but that only makes him look immature and arrogant. In other words, he's no different from most Hollywood stars. Pettyfer is only paying the price for his arrogance because he wasn't famous enough to get away with it.

I know I'm a vampire, Snookie.

He had to move out of the apartment because he and his girlfriend are allergic to cats, but Channing's friend wanted him to pay the rest of the rent on the lease. Eventually it got sorted. The debts incident is the same incident as the apartment.

He's afraid of flying which makes it hard for him to do post promotion of the film.

He was anti social on the set of MM because he was trying to just keep quiet and a low profile to avoid the difficult label but people took that to being arrogant and too good for them.

And he admitted all that and that part of it was his fault that Channing doesn't like him so he doesn't seem so horrible to me.

I agree with you hippo9. I mean no disrespect to anyone but every story has two sides and so far we've only seen Channing's and the tabloids that make him out to be some big ass arrogant monster. I'm not saying Alex doesn't make mistakes we all do but we should listen to every side before we judge someone and not rely so much on trashy tabloids or trashy websites and we also got to remember Alex was like, what 20 when he was cast in Magic Mike? Who hasn't been obnoxious and arrogant at that age? But the important thing to remember is that he admits that he made mistakes and part of why he and Channing are not friends is his fault who else would step up like that and admit they made mistakes? Nobody instead they would shrug, turn it around and blame someone else for the unfortunate event.

I mean, James Dean was one of the greatest actors and he was completely arrogant, obnoxious and aloof. But that works on the screen.

Honestly, Magic Mike 1 worked for me because Alex was the outsider to the group who can stand on his own. And that really read well on screen. Maybe Alex's too method but alot of the greatest actors are method.

Magic Mike 2 basically fails because it's just this big nice guy friends bash road trip. There's no drama in that.

Do you feel like we've heard Alex's side of the story in this situation and others were he's made out to be the bad guy? It feels like and this is not me being biased that everytime there's something negative happening and Alex is mentioned every makes Alex the bad guy and they all blame him.
