She grew up in a family with connections in the entertainment industry who got her involved from her childhood and later got her into Juilliard and she pretends she had a rough childhood and made it on her own. It seems to be a common thread in so many of these so-called feminists and outspoken activist types in Hollywood. They had the opportunity for fame and riches given to them and pretend like they struggled for it. Johansson does the same thing, acts like she grew up with no money when her grandfather was a film director, her father an architect, her mother a producer and all her siblings are also actors due to that. Both of them had deals with talent agencies when they were like seven years.
