It didn't seem to bother many people at the convention as they had to stop selling the girls' autos because too many people wanted them.

I appreciate that she hasn't been in the show but I believe it was Rogue's idea to ask her after asking people at the Jason gig the previous evening and getting a positive response. In the process making money for charity.

I guess then there should be an issue with Richard singing with his friend Sam as well....

I have to say that no she doesn't have anything to do with supernatural so in theory shouldn't have been signing autographs but it wasn't a usual convention really .

In the thread the other week i said i felt it was a tad mean of her not to have a picture taken with a girl who had asked and i stick by that . Danneel and gen may not be liked by some but are by others and i think they done the nice thing by allowing the people who wanted pictures and autographs to have them and from what i can gather they had quite a few people who did .

Jason Mann's goes along to promote himself and has become a complete hit with the fans so there's no reason the girls shouldn't do the same thing .

I see them there and my goodness i couldn't believe how tiny they were ! more so gen she is so small love her she looked like a little mouse more so with that huge bodyguard beside her .

First off I need to say that I don't mean to rant at you dude, I'm just ranting in general. Ya know what, I have ZERO problem with her or any wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend going along to support their significant other at a convention, but the fact remains that it WAS a SUPERNATURAL convention, for the cast and supporting cast of the show. NOT the cast and who they are married to. The fact that Gen Cortese Padalecki did autographs/pictures is unrelated as SHE had a role on the series for a whole season.

It is irrelevant whether people like Gen or not, she was a part of the show, and played a significant character. Danneel Harris has not, the only thing she has in relation to the show was the fact that she is married to Jensen. I find it amusing that after so vehmently stating she would have NOTHING to do with Supernatural because, and I use her words here 'they hate me over there' she would then choose to do autographs and pictures. It strikes me as hypocritical. I don't care if she gave her money to charity or not, I don't even care if she got paid or not.

I am sick of fans pandering to her just because she is married to Jensen, was this because her last 2 shows have been cancelled? is she so desperate for some recognition?

To be perfectly honest I'm done with Supernatural now, this for me was just a step too far!! come on, the boys are always going on about how much they value their private lives, but then discuss and parade their spouses in front of fans!! Its like dangling a carrot in front of a donkey!! and I'm fed up of it! So this is Finger_Ninja saying get lost Supernatural, cause you sold out!!

No then don't but they have an issue with Danneel. How is it different? I wouldn't care if everyone felt the same about everyone else who are "hangers on" as such but they don't. Even Steve Carlson has attended conventions for no other reason than he is one of Jensen's best friends. E

Why do they attend? Because Jensen likes to have familiar people around him.

It really isn't a big issue. Why is she the step too far? She wasn't paraded about. Unless you bought an auto or a photo, fans didn't see her. She wasn't in the main auto room at any time, nor was she strutting around the hotel. She wasn't shoved down people's throats, it had to be a fan's choice to queue and see her. If the mere thought of the woman being in the same building on her first anniversary with her husband bothered people, they seriously need to take a chill pill. It was bad enough the one fan who threatened to burn her was public knowledge to fans and more than likely guests over weekend.

It was mentioned at the concert she would be doing autos and the reaction was good, why shouldn't the fans be allowed to get an auto and a photo...isn't that one of the biggest complaints about Danneel that she is not good with fans. When she is, she is still slated. She signed autos for fans who liked her, not just SPN fans.

Fans don't pandered to her - some actually like her. That is just as bad as saying those who dislike like her are jealous.

End of the day the only reason the woman is even mentioned is because of her relationship with Jensen whether it is a good reaction or a bad one. Simple.

I know people will say I am defending her but really I am against the double standards that happen when it concerns that woman.

Like i said Jensen and Jared bring people that they know along with them and in the case of Jason Mann's its done him a lot of good considering he is popular with a lot of us now . People don't rant about him being there or like j-j-agirl says Richard's friend Sam so why is it so different for danneel ? and it is danneel we are talking about here because gen was a fixture on supernatural throughout season 4 .

No i fully agree with the fact she has nothing to do with supernatural but the fact all the money that was exchanged for her photo's/autograph was given too charity surely has to be a good thing right ?

I have stated so many times that i find her retaliation on twitter wrong and she shouldn't give the hardcore haters the time of day because all it does is make her look as equally spiteful but on this occasion she took the time to sign and have autographs done with the people whom like and support her . I do hope it made her realise that not every fan should be tarred with the same brush so to make snide remarks about fans in general is a tad harsh .

They didn't parade around the hotel screaming " look at us , we are here " you wouldn't have known if it wasn't announced that they would sign and have photo's done . I saw them once and more gen then danneel looked uncomfortable as they walked to the room in which they were signing .

Sometimes i wonder if this woman can win ? she is slated( me included) for not taking the time with the fans and now she has she is still being slated . Difference for me is i am not going to say she's done wrong because on this occasion she hasn't .

Did you ever think that maybe it wasn't her decision but something she did as a favour for Jensen? Maybe they wanted her and she did it cause he asked her to. Lets not assume because she was there that she is positioning herself as a member of the Supernatural universe. Yes, she was signing autographs at a Supernatural convention, big deal. If you don't like it, don't get an autograph from her. She is a member of the CW family so whether she's in Supernatural or not, there's crossover interest amongst fans of both shows.

Yes, yes, yes, this has been discussed to death now. I'm over it, I was acting out of anger and logic has never been my friend when I'm angry!! Besides someone else has already pointed out your argument and as I said to them fair enough, I hadn't thought about that aspect.

I also think Jensen & Danneel are quite snobby. They seem to know they're a stunning couple & come across (to me), as thinking they're superior.

I remember a video where Gen & Jared were enbracing each other but also waved (Jared inparticular seems an incredibly nice person), at the spectators who could see them together on a public balcony, but Jensen & Danneel did this posturing and ignored them.

I also remember Mark Schwann (?) saying he had to tell Danneel to stop posturing and trying to be cool when she was on OTH. I get a bit of "we're better then you" vibe from both Jensen & Danneel, I don't know?

She might also be there because she's got a show to promote and her visability helps get people watching? They're no stupid.
