How serious is she about singing?

I see her Tweet all the time about her band "The Girls." I've listened to them out of curiosity, and while Alison isn't a terrible singer by any means she's also nothing special. Is this something she just does for fun on the side, or does she have aspirations of making this a second career? From what I can gather, they're not signed to a label nor have they released any original music.

I'm just curious.

Probably something she does for fun, just a hobby that quenches her thirst for attention while she's not acting.

They seem to treat it semi-seriously, but they aren't even remotely talented so I don't know how far it would actually go.

I'm answering my own question I guess, but I just stumbled upon this quote by Alison from a recent interview:

Interviewer: You’re also in this band, The Girls, that’s getting some buzz. Are we going to see a record from the group anytime soon?

Alison: Well, we’ve starting writing some originals with the guys in Jones Street Station, so we’re thinking of recording an EP. It’s in the works!
