The same idiots who tried to claim Saoirse Ronan as BRITISH last year are at it again with Ruth.

Miss Negga was born in Ethiopia. Her father is native to that country and her mother is Irish. As a child her family returned to Limerick in Ireland where she grew up.

Now - while she might shop in Sainsburys or support Chelses FC - there is no earthly way she is British.

Its something deep in the British psyche, that is still reflected in the mainstream media - trying to claim something that is not theirs.

And they need to ALWAYS be called out on it.
