Vincent the ocd knifing serial killer becomes a cop?

He's played a variety of characters and is great in all of them. I just finished a binge on Moonlight. It's hard to remember that we really DON'T know these people who fill our TV screens - especially when they do it as nicely as him.

I loved him in Moonlight. I just saw that episode of Criminal Minds and first thought, OMG that's Ales O'Loughlin playing a bad guy. Then, I checked when the episode first aired. (Had to be pre Five-O.) Then, I thought someone had to have posted about it on his IMDB message board.

he made me cry at the end of the episode....howe often does that happen....it was such a reat performance and really made you feel for him

I've watched that episode many times, and it always made me sad. In the back of my mind, I kept thinking the actor was familiar; until tonight, I didn't suspect it was O'Loughlin. I'm impressed.
