What happened to him?

I used to watch his show, Hawaii 5 O, like a religion, and enjoyed him and the entire cast, but for some time now, maybe like a year and a half now, I haven't been able to watch it because of other commitments, and tonight, I happen to finally be off, and decided to watch it, and right now, I am watching the episode where some girl in a group tour is being a moron, and decides to ditch the team and go off by herself, and comes across some half naked guy screaming, and all bloody. Then it cuts to Alex and Caan fighting a kitchen fire, and I was kind of shocked at how thin Alex has gotten. He almost looked sick. I just saw him in some movie with J-Lo, and he was fine in that, but this episode, he just looks so skinny. It's mostly in the face.

The movie with J-Lo was filmed in 2009, the episode you are talking about was from like February I think. Alex hurt his shoulder pretty badly doing a stunt for the show and ended up taking prescription painkillers to get through the day and had some trouble getting off them. The weight loss was caused by the medication. He took about a month off from shooting H50 back in March to get off the painkillers and get healthy again. During the time off his face filled out again and he looks much healthier now.

In recent interviews he has said that he is feeling great now and has decided to back off from doing stunts, letting the stunt guys do most of the work.

Ok, thanks. I was just worried he was becoming like most of Hollywood, thinking being stick thin is how it should be, when really, the way he was, he was one fine looking man, just about as perfect of a specimen as one can find. I'll keep him in my prayers, and hope he makes a full recovery.

He looks great right now, filled up nicely again, he's even more heavier then I think he was in season 1 when he started Hawaii Five-0, At least it looks like he's fuller than back then, less ripped. But I like this look on him, it's healthy and happy. He's in a good place right now with being a new Daddy and having a family in Hawaii and hopefully having no pain anymore. Don't know if he still gets physical therapy, he was still getting some after his break from H50 and during his summer break I belief. :)

Just did a moonlight marathon. Still like the long hair look. Hope lets his hair grow out from summer cut just a little. Wish they could of done a couple more episodes just to resolve the beth mick situation an what the da did with the list of vamps in la an who sent it. Any thought as to who sent the list?

I totally prefer the way he looked then. Really cut guys are not attractive to me. He's much, much tastier with a nice layer of butter on him. And that hair, of course. * whimpers *
