This Silliness over "Cheating"

Don't offensive linemen cheat when they hold a defensive player and get away with it?

Don't defensive backs cheat when they interfere with a receiver and get away with it?

How often do these things happen during a season? Hundreds? Thousands of times?

It's the job of the league and referees to "police" the game.
Deflate or no deflate it's their job to check the footballs.

reply

True.
Seattle were the biggest cheaters this past season. They had almost twice as many penalties as their opponents.
They try to give themselves an advantage by breaking the rules many times a game.

I agree with Donald Trump. Tom Brady should SUE the NFL. Only I believe he should add Roger Goodell to the lawsuit.

Robert Kraft and Tom Brady should both be the Plaintiffs.

.....and Ted Wells and Troy Vincent.

Holding and defensive pass interference isn't the same. While it happens a lot at all levels of the game, these pros didn't make it this far by holding on every play or half of their plays. Scouts see thru that and you can get flagged for it. The DL and DBs have to still be able to play without holding or they won't Start. And if if they get called for it sometimes it's outweighed by their good plays.

And the number of flags you get don't determine cheating. It's the specific penalties. Illegal touching and roughing are examples of cheating and dirty playing respectively. False start, delay of game and encroachment are lapses of discipline and focus.

Deflation is like using a cheat code. Please explain otherwise.

Congrats, Tom.

I agree with Chief Judge Robert Katzmann and also respectfully dissent with the federal appeals court Deflategate decision today.

In addition, Roger Goodell should be fired. He is an incompetent commissioner, a bad role model for the game of football and a complete fool.

reply

You are obviously an idiot... he is certainly a cheater!! Now he is receiving his punishment... and he's crying like a little girl... LOL!!

reply

The "punishment" according to NFL rules, is 25 thousand dollars for tampering with football equipment.
