He was really one of the only relatable and likable characters in Warcraft. It's really a shame that they decided to kill him off. They should have written the script so that he lived for a sequel, if that ever happens. Was anyone else really surprised when he died? Up until that point, I thought he was the main character. So when he died I got really lost because I wasn't really emotionally attached to any other characters besides him
shareThere wasn't really anything to decide. They were respectful to the lore and in the lore, Durotan died. The way he died was a little different, but keeping him alive would create all sorts of problems, lorewise.
Yeah, he was the most likeably character, for sure. But in my opinion, that's exactly why his death was so 'refreshing'
Only ones surprised about his death were those who didn't knew the lore. His death was there in source materials since 2003 I think, and his son carries the torch up till this point.
