Well, I was just looking for something quick the other night jlent. It's apparently a basic and free forum with her name. One just has to register, select a username and password and post. I felt the need to have something quickly where we might go just so we don't get lost so to speak. One downside is in a sense it's closed off to us because the likelihood is no one will be aware of its existence. So, we won't have new posters.

Did you check out the one CountJohn found. He posted there already, but I can't locate them so far. I will try to sign in on the one you set up tomorrow. The only problem I had was not being able to enter the captcha because they didn't show it to me. 

This forum would also be an option to continue discussing forums to use after IMDB closes down. It may just be a temporary landing spot. There are so many IMDB alternatives cropping up that it's hard to tell which ones will survive as of now.

Has anyone checked on the fansite thing? I think that really is the best option just because it really allows us to expand our userbase.

I like that one. Probably not ready for us yet. Only two titles so far - on popular TV shows - but two that seem to have decent traffic.
With Saoirse news a bit limited we're in a lull right now, sometimes going without a single post for days. That should pick up up in a few months or, rather, it would have picked up if we were still around.
But it's not likely to get more active around here before the whole thing is shut down so someone is going to have to take the plunge to start what will be at first a very lonely thread.
