I think it's because of his skin i noticed people with very pale and freckled skin age faster and look at least 10 years older than their age. (though they look younger than their real age in mid-20s)
actors with similar skin to Eddie that look older than their age are Kelly Reilly and Julianne Nicholson.
of course some freckled actors look much younger than Reilly or Redmayne but they had botox or facelift so it's not fair to compare
