Introvert?

I am a new fan and I have done lots of research about him recently. Some stuff I read and quotes from him make me wonder if he might be an introvert. I am suggesting this very cautiously. And there is nothing wrong with being an introvert, I can assure you, because I am one myself. Being an introvert doesn't mean being anti-social or shy. It basically means you need alone time to recharge your batteries. Introverts also tend to overthink things.

In his case what made me wonder is that he obviously has the strong need to protect his privacy, that he once said he often ends up on the sofa reading and that 'me time is as important as us time'. And he also said he is more cerebral than he wants to be.

I am afraid in our western cultures introverts are often misunderstood. An introvert is not always available, he can't. So if he sometimes isn't in the mood for photos or autographs or entertaining paparazzi, he has good reasons.

Just some thoughts.

Introverts like to be with friends, too, and even party with the right people. But being around people takes away their energy, so they need time alone to recharge. Extroverts gain energy from other people. That's just how people are wired. And no one is 100 % introvert or extrovert.

then I must be an introvert, learn something new everyday.

I do not know, but probably ppl who spend long time on the Internet, are introverts. This is probably the era of the introverts.

Anyway, I think Chris takes a less introverted life than mine for sure.

there's all sorts of different anti social people not just people that are on the net all the time. some may even say that for some people they are very social for being on the net and keeping in touch with people all the time. more so than those that don't use social media, but it depends on the person everyone is different and have many factors behind them.

I think social media like facebook and also forums are good for introverts, because you can communicate with all sorts of people from the safety and quiet of your home. You lock on when you feel like it and you leave when you feel like it. No pressure. On the other hand, it's so impersonal and things move on so quickly. It's not the best place for deep conversation. You post something that is important to you and that you gave lots of thoughts, but you don't know if people even see it and if they care.

I found it very interesting to learn that Chris is not on social media. He said, he's too sensitive and doesn't want to know if fans like his new hairstyle. It's easier for an outright extrovert to shrug things off. An outright introvert tends to think everything over again and again.

Internet also a good place for extroverts, because they can post pictures from themseves all the time. :P
Anyway, there is a good site, where you can check you personality - of course it's not 100%, but quite good -, if you are curious. https://www.16personalities.com

I'm definetaly an extrovert, but still like to have my alone time.

I like it because i can actually speak without people talking over me all the time.

I fully understand what he means it's healther for his own sanity to avoid social media and as fans we need to respect his choice. He doesn't hate people that use it, he dates people that use it but he just doesn't feel his need to use it. Perhaps one day he will but definitely not in the near future.
