Rumor has it that Nicholas Hoult has it sewn up, and Pattinson's agent is trying a burst of announcements and publicity as a last-ditch effort to get his client the role.
Not that Nicholas Hoult is ideal. I mean he's a good actor, but he's no Batman.
He has grown as an actor. Last movies are nothing like Twilight

That said, I don't understand casting him as Batman. He would fit much better as the Joker.

at first i thought that he might be too slightly built to be credible in the suit, but after watching high life and seeing that he's actually fairly powerfully built, i don't think that ought to be an issue at all.

Good Time was excellent
good time was one of my favourite films of 2017 for sure.
he was also great in lost city of z - not a perfect film, but absolutely worth a watch.
it seems to me that he's really gone out of his way to find interesting & not obvious roles in his post-twilight career, & he deserves credit for that.
Oh yeah, I really liked his performance in Lost City
He's also very good in The Rover (14) playing a slow witted character
