As someone growing up with old movie stars of the 50's/60's, Pattinson is to me one of the few unique charismatic actors out there in the vein of James Dean or Marlon Brando, he has a lot of potential that needs to be tapped into. It is very possible that the more he ages the more appeal and presence on screen he creates.

Huge problem with this statement..

I agree he's a great actor, and He's now confirmed as Batman....But He's NOT joining the DCEU as The DCEU is dead....

Instead, He's joining a complete reboot, where director Matt reeves, Demanded Affleck be Dropped because he wanted nothing to do with Him or The DCEU baggage...

The Batman is now confirmed to Be a Completely New Trilogy of films that will have NO Connections to The DEAD DCEU....Pattinson, will Not in any way be playing a Younger version of Affleck's Batman...

WB has completely Cut ties with Affleck as Batman, His Reign was that of Nothing but failure where he and Snyder damaged the character horrifically turned a Proven Billion dollar character into a Mass Murder that audiences completely rejected and resulted In The Character Literally Losing almost 40% of its Audience and box office power.

you are more than within your rights to be excited about Pattinson joining WB and future DC films.....But If you are actually excited about him Joining The DCEU....you are simply delusional .

The DCEU is dead....Its reign lasted 5 years, where It will forever be remembered as The biggest creative failure and missed opportunity in Hollywood history, It was A Rushed Idea, that unfortunately was Spear headed by A Man in Zack Snyder who got the job because WB had absolutely no Idea or Vision for a cinematic Universe so they turned to a man that had the absolute worst Possible Vision for a Cinematic Universe

This resulted in 4 out of 7 Universally hated DCEU films...2 of The Biggest Creative failures and Trainwrecks in Hollywood history in BvS and JL, It resulted in Snyder himself being demoted and then fired

and Its now resulted in nearly all major movies and characters from the DCEU being Rebooted and Recast.

Affleck Out as Batman
Batman being completely rebooted, Pattinson cast as New Batman not set in DCEU
Cavil out as Superman, WB instead focusing on Supergirl movies because WB wants no part of another Superman movie right now after Cavil's 3 straight Decisive and Disliked appearances as Superman
Suicide Squad Being Rebooted and Recast
Will Smith Out as Deadshot
Leto Out as Joker
New Joker movie, Not set in DCEU, recast
Wonder Woman 2 intentionally set in the 80s to distance itself from the FAILED JL film and DEAD DCEU....Also being written to have the "Flashpoint" storyline so it can reset and ERASE Snyder's DCEU

Lets also not forget The DCEU is responsible for Maybe the 2 most MOCKED Moments in Comic book movie history in "Martha" and "Mustache Gate"

Bottom line....

The DCEU is dead...

all future DC films are just that "DC films"

actually IMO The future is the brightest its been since WB made the now ill fated decision to allow Snyder to make BvS...

DC is trying to rise from the ashes after Snyder Burnt the entire Franchise down....

they seem to be on the right track, although Its clear That Success is Not going to be The "MCU type success" DC fans wants, but Its still an improvement none the less...

so I guess if you really want to continue living in a delusional reality, thats your right....But The DCEU is DEAD....

Pattinson joined The Batman which is a future DC film......
