New TV Show - The Lying Game

Alice is finally in something new: http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/02/abc-family-picks-up-th e-lying-game.html

ABC Family already has "Pretty Little Liars" on its schedule, and pretty soon it will be playing "The Lying Game."

The cable channel on Tuesday (Feb. 22) picked up 10 episodes of "The Lying Game," a drama about a teenage girl named Emma (Alexandra Chando, "As the World Turns") who grew up in foster care and learns she has a twin sister, Sutton, who was adopted by a rich family. After the twin meet and decide to track down their birth mother, Sutton goes missing, forcing Emma to decide whether she should take on Sutton's life or come clean about what's happened.

The show is based on a novel by Sara Shepard, the author of the "Pretty Little Liars" series, and it sounds like it could be a pretty good companion for "PLL." "The Lying Game" also stars Blair Redford ("90210"), Kristen Prout ("Kyle XY"), Helen Slater ("Gigantic"), Andy Buckley ("The Office"), Sharon Pierre-Louis ("Lincoln Heights"), Allie Gonino ("10 Things I Hate About You") [band Alice Greczyn ("Lincoln Heights").

Writer Charles Pratt Jr. ("Melrose Place," "General Hospital") is executive producing the show with Leslie Morgenstein ("Pretty Little Liars") and Gina Girolamo.

"The Lying Game" will premiere later this year. It's the fourth new series ABC Family has picked up recently, following dramas "The Nine Lives of Chloe King" and "Switched at Birth" and comedy "The Great State of Georgia."
