Thats not true. If you recall in Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure, they travelled back in time and there was an Iron Maiden torture instrument. It was when they met the 2 princess's

Not a plot hole. The scene demonstrated that the device actually existed during that time period. I found this movie very educational and I learned a lot about all the different time era's
