Why is she credited as Britt Robertson?

Maybe it's just me, but I think she should let herself just be credited by her full name, Brittany Robertson, like she did when she filmed "Dan in Real Life". Britt Robertson seems a little silly, and a lot of people appear to be calling her Brittany anyway.

Britt sounds more grown up

She goes by Britt in basically everything. It makes sense seeing as that's what she prefers to be called.
Plus, Britt sounds better anyway

Well, if anything, in the "Triple Dog" poster, they spelled her name wrong: "Brittney Robertson"

All the Britney/Brittany's I know usually go by Britt anyways, it's not that she strays away from her given name it just probably sounds different to have yourself credited as Britt instead of Brittany.

***Hey, it's only my opinion***

I actually do know the answer to this.

About a year ago, when LUX first premiered, there was an article in a local paper interviewing Brittany. (I'm from the same area as she is. Her sister goes to a couple of my friends' high school.) She mentioned that her agent started this habit of calling her Britt, and so she just ended up becoming Britt Robertson instead of Brittany.

However, in a newer article (one from the month of October in another local magazine), they call her Brittany Robertson, so I'm of the assumption that although she goes by Brittany, her agent just called her Britt and so she's titled as that.

I think the real reason is there are quite a few Brittany/Britney's in the entertainment industry, calling her "Britt" Robertson makes her stand out more.

I know a woman whose name is Kimberly. Pretty normal and all but she prefers to be called "Berly". It's the weirdest thing calling her that. I keep picturing a huge, hairy man with lots of muscles. Not a tall, skinny blonde with a southern accent!
