The hate for the Patty character is over the top on the Flash IMDB board. Personally, I liked her character and was bummed to see her leave the show. Perhaps the fact that Shantel is so hot has something to do with it?

shareI haven't seen what you are talking about but there's tons of hate for pretty much everything on this board (which is why I don't come here very often).
Personally, I think she was great on the show and was hoping to find out that she will be back soon. The way they brought her in out of nowhere and then developed things with her and Barry, only to then (all of a sudden) get rid of her instead of making her part of the team was kind of lame.

shareI don't hate her at all. In fact, I have a pretty big crush for the character Patty Spivot! It only gives me false hope knowing she and Barry broke up, haha! But during her last episode (so far) I think they were cramming in just a few too many plot points. In one episode, you had the struggle break up, issues with Wally, Caitlyn and Jay and OH YEAH! That Zoom guy! I think this extra love story was just one thing too much. So maybe when they clear out a few things, there'll be room to bring her back. Plus there is more hope. She happened to travel to the town that, in DC Comics lore, was home to the Doom Patrol. So maybe she'll stir them up. On top of that, it looks like in at least one iteration of the comics, she becomes another speedster. And what was the latest trailer centered on? Hmm...

She's adorable, I loved her on the flash and adored her relationship with barry!
