He has. Of course little American kids are still gaga over him. But then again, they are were gaga over Bay's Transformers. So who cares what they think. But as a martial arts practitioner myself, I can tell you, It's is not the same Tony Jaa. It's like if Jackie chan did "Wheels on Meals", left and came back years later and did "The Forbidden Kingdom". Any martial artist would quickly notice the difference. Tony Jaa just waited too long, He has missed his prime years. He should have quickly done movies after the success of Ong Bak (2003). Like Jackie Chan did when he was young.

Massively. His martial arts ability has dwindled a huge amount as well. I thought he may possibly be getting somewhere when he took on different styles in Ong Bak 2. But then disappeared and has churned out some really disposable stuff. Even in SPL 2 he is doing the same tired Muay Thai elbow and knee attacks from every other film. A real shame. I just hope Iko Uwais doesn't fade in the same way as he has a lot more potential.

Yeah it's a real shame Tony Jaa didn't go on to bigger and better things since Ong Bak 2. The Protector was all right. Its sequel was crappy though.

Hopefully, Uwais will keep churning out good movies. He has a unique style and charisma.
