Why hate on this man?

Well, "the Room" might not be what anyone would have expected from a classical Hollywood Drama.

Oh hi, *beep* that by the way!

Tommy Wiseau has put great inside into his world and the way he thinks and what a lot of people have experienced in a relationship. A lot of people have struggled with the same problems, maybe not all as has been portrayed in the movie or in such a way, but whatever! Go about your business - this man had a MESSAGE to say with this, and no matter how "funny" or "unprofessional" he put it with this movie in your "HOLLYWOOD ORIENTATED" opinion, to me he still seems as a much better, nicer person who is more aware of himself than a lot of other superficial directors/writers who are out there. Their "messages" might be put with the absolutely "right words" to touch our "hearts" or whatever in the eyes of mainstream film business between a million of CGI effects, but whatever.

"The room" was another way - maybe it might sound unnatural to you in the movie - but it is still truthful from Tommy's point of acting and writing, so it's real. This is of course not a #1 movie in terms of acting, cutting, fx etc. anyway, but who cares!? It's TW's first movie, and it's *beep* hilarious though - as the Wicker Man i.e. is in points of over-acting. I've seen Hollywood Movies with less story, acting, fx and whatever!?

Have some respect folks! Accept it, like it, hate it, it's still art and a way a director and actor has expressed himself!

Best regards,

Daniel

Which would be fine--except that even a casual viewing of the movie shows that Wiseau doesn't have more than a superficial understanding of how people interact with each other and why they make the choices they make, and his emotional leakage drenches the entire film.
