Emma Stone reminds me of a young Shirley Maclaine

Of course there are some notable differences.

Maclaine had a lighter voice and a bit more meat on her bones, but there is something similar in their feline, even kittenish, features, the sweetness they project in their smiles and their eyes, etc. Also, they both seemed to have a flair for the comedic, often appearing in romantic comedies, even though both have done dramas as well.

So to me Stone is a bit of a modern version of MacLaine, but I don't know if others would agree.
