He was a cute kid. No surprise he was already doing small-time acting jobs when Linklater chose him.

Not to sound like a pedo, but I thought his looks "peaked" when he was 13(?) - in Boyhood that was the scene when he was swimming with his dad at some lake and when they camped. He had a more symmetrical face.

He has the Harry Potter syndrome. Notice how dorky and awkward they looked in their late teens and now they're beginning to look decent. Give this guy 5-7 years and he'll look like a nice young man (in his late 20s that is). As of now, he is still "transitioning".

I agree. Unlike Nicholas Hoult or Asa Butterfield, he lost his looks unfortunately. Not everybody's lucky I guess.
