Her comments about the Republican Debate

Fist off, I absolutely love Emily Blunt. She's one of my favorite actresses, if not my absolute favorite. The woman is a fantastic, horribly underrated actress and she always manages to crack me up in her interviews. She seems like she'd be a kick-ass friend. Someone who's just fun to hang out with.

I feel kind of bad for her after she took so much flack for her comments after becoming a U.S. Citizen. She's entitled to her opinions, but there was one thing I found annoying. I hate how it seems that 90% of Hollywood stars are openly and proudly liberal. It doesn't matter who is running on the democratic ticket, they will loudly support said person and act like he/she is the second coming. These celebrities try so hard to sound smart and independent, yet they all sound like sheep to me.

One of the many things I have always enjoyed about Blunt is that she doesn't really comment on politics. She doesn't get up on stage after winning an award and make some BS, entitled political speech like we give two s**ts what she thinks about the government. The first thing I thought when I heard she had become a U.S. citizen was, 'Good Lord, I hope she doesn't start mouthing off about politics like so many of these other idiot celebs'. And one of the first things she does is make a snarky comment about the republican debate. Noooooo, Emily!!! Why'd you have to join the gang of Hollywood sheep?!?!?! Damn it!!!

Anyway, that's my two cents. Still adore Emily. I just hope she doesn't continue to comment on politics, and after the backlash she received I'm thinking she probably won't. I'd much rather hear her comments on her films and the process of making them, what she loves about her characters, the fun she had with her co-stars, etc. because I happen to think she's a great storyteller. Always makes me wish I was hanging out on one of her film sets.

And people really need to calm the *beep* down about her comments and her reasons for gaining U.S. citizenship. Acting like she's some little devil or something. I don't get how so many people can love those *beep* up Kardashians and tune into their cheap "reality" show and buy their clothes, giving them millions upon millions of dollars for little more than being a pack of fame wh0res, but a classy, hilarious and talented woman like Emily gets dumped on simply for expressing an opinion. It's a tad odd.

Well, I'm sure she only spoke against the Republicans because her husband is a die hard liberal. Looks like she loves him a lot for her to say that.

People are bothered by her reasons because she did it for less tax, and that infuriates some because she's a rich celebrity who doesn't need to worry about taxes. Plus, some don't like the apparent "callous" attitude she has towards her citizenship, considering there are many immigrants who wish to have that privilege but is too hard to obtain.

You're not playing "Back to the Future" are you?

She is at her apex, her zenith and is capitalizing on it.

How many people over the years said they wanted her to reach this point. Well, she has. Ta-da!

If she watched that snooze fest Democratic debate she might want to really give up her U.S. Citizenship.

I'll take the Democratic snooze fest ANYDAY over the Repub Frightshow.

Please never vote again. They're pretty much the same thing. If you think one party is better than the other then youre a sheep. The worst kind. One who thinks they're smarter than others but is dumber.

Funny zinga, you've identified your own problem.

You're either too frightening to be taken seriously or too dumb to be real. In any case, this is not the place for your soap box. Move along; you're out past curfew at the home.

I'm not a Democrat or a Republican... I always go for the candidate that has the ideas and views I most agree with....

...but the Republican party's candidates this year are freaking cartoons and ripe for mockery. I, for one, found Emily's joke very funny and when I see people taking offense to what was clearly a joke (and a well aimed joke, at that), it annoys me... people are way too damn sensitive these days.
