does anybody actually laugh at any of the things he says or does in movies? or slightly smile out of the corner of their mouth? or able to watch him for 5 minutes without thinking "is this guy getting paid to be in this movie because someone thinks he's a good actor? or humorous?" just curious.

No, I do not find him funny, or amusing. Maybe in 30 or 40 years he will be able to capitalize on the old Jewish nebbish schtick, but for now he's an annoying bunyon.
