CONFIRMED: Justin Hartley will be a Regular, NOT a Guest on Smallville

Justin Hartley Returns As Series Regular For Season 8

E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos is reporting that she has received confirmation that Justin Hartley will be returning to Smallville in Season Eight, not as a guest star, but as a series regular.

Hartley has a talent holding deal with The CW network, and his recent pilot, Austin Golden Hour, was not picked up as a series.

It is said that Oliver's story arc will delve into his past rather than his superheroic identity as the Green Arrow.

While we're green with excitement about this news, what we'd really like to see is a Green Arrow spin-off series. Maybe this return for the Green Arrow will make that happen (and make Warner Bros. forget that silly "Green Arrow in prison" movie idea!)

In other news, CW representatitves have also told Dos Santos that Kristin Kreuk is scheduled to appear in six or seven episodes of Season Eight - with the exact number of shows yet to be determined

Yes I knew he would join the cast as a regular especially when his pilot wasn't picked up

But does that mean Kristen (Lana) will only be a guest star instead of series regular? Plus will John Glover still be a regular or is he off the show for good?

According to Kryptonsite's website Kristen will be in at least 6 episodes maybe more. John Glover will appear in a couple but probably as flashbacks. Michael Rosenbaum is also expected to appear in a few episodes. I hope Clark,Louis,Chloe, and Oliver lead the charge and we have at least a couple episodes with the JLA.

This past season I started to lose intrest in Smallville, But now that oliver will be back I won't look away!!

Kryptonsite just confirmed Justin will be in the season premiere. Looks like he is going to have a major role on the show. Lets just hope a GREEN ARROW series comes out of all of this!

Can't wait for this season. It sounds like it might be way better then
season 7 was.

I skipped through Smallville's 7th season but tuned in to watch the 8th season premiere, because of JH. I was stoked to see him in the opening credits and loved him as usual as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow. I love it that he and Clark will be working together more now. Hubba hubba! ;)
