Great face, but inconsistent as an actor

I first saw this young actor in the (bad) teenage cult movie _Tre metri sopra il cielo_, and I was immediately struck by his wonderful green eyes (cum black hair...) and, above all, by his charisma, that peculiar halo called _star quality_. His acting was strangely inconsistent: beautiful glances full of depth and a good dialogue delivery sometimes suddenly turned into a very flat and tv-like sort of acting (Italian tv is horrible). I have seen almost every movie of his since then, and my first impression has not changed. He has improved as an actor (watch for instance his quasi-brilliant performance in _L'uomo perfetto_), but sometimes the old problem resurfaces... I truly hope he will be able to get rid of it, because he is talented, he is drop-deadly gorgeous and he is a potential star. Go Riccardo, già mi fai impazzire ora, figurarsi se migliorerai come attore!!!!

Uh...unfortunally true

I think he's building a reputations as a rather arrogant guy...not a good thing for a young actor with lots to learn still.

he used to live in fornt of our building,or at least,he spent many times there!
he is not that tall and even if he looks good he dress very ..not elegant!
last time I saw him he was walking with his box of red marlboro in the hand and had some hideous jeans
once we were having a party and he was in a red"smart" under our window talking with some guy we asked him to come over but he didn't bother to look up.
whatewhere!

True true true.. For me I don't want him to represent italian actors in front of all the world.. It would be a big shame for us..

In a note on CNN great Greek director Costa-Gavras who is now shooting a film with Scamarcio, looked back with at working with Jack Lenmmon..."young actors today.." (meaning you know who) "they distract themselves too easily you have to remind them about their character every time..."
