Weird career

She goes from doing Hallmark movies to a blockbuster like Bad Boys 3. How is that even possible? A similar thing happened with Kathryn Newton.

reply

It's pretty simple. Directors likely pay attention to actors from stuff like Hallmark and other smaller time projects. Then if someone catches their eye they will make them an offer. It's happened to plenty of actors over the years.

HUDGENS HAS BEEN IN A VARIETY OF PROJECTS,BIG AND SMALL HER WHOLE CAREER...SHE SWINGS BETWEEN THE TWO FAIRLY WELL.

reply

Have you seen "Powerless", the tv show she was in a few years back? It got cancelled after just one season. I quite liked it, it was a lot of fun. Disappointed it didn't get at least another season.

reply

I WATCHED THE FIRST EPISODE AND THEN LOST TRACK OF IT...FORGOT ALL ABOUT IT UNTIL YOU JUST ASKED...WOW...I NEED TO SEE THAT SEASON.

reply

What Hallmark movies was she in? She was in the High School Musical movies and then movies like Beastly, Sucker Punch and Spring Breakers.

reply

JOURNEY 2 WAS MY INTRO TO HUDGENS.

reply

I think Beastly was the first film I saw her in.

reply

the princess switch 1 and 2 and the the knight before christmas.

reply

The Princess Switch and The Knight Before Christmas are Netflix movies, not Hallmark.

reply

i'm aware, but it's the same type movies so i didn't think it made a big difference.

reply

That makes a little more sense, but yeah, they still feel like Hallmark-y.

reply

Now she's starring in a respectable movie with James Garfield.

reply

Her role in Bad Boys 3 was less than a supporting role though... I doubt she got a "really good" (in Hollywood terms) salary out of that project... it's not like the movie was advertised featuring her in a supporting role either... she was in the trailers yeah, but she did not bring anything special to the project, it's not like for example Good Will Hunting featuring Robin Williams or Zendaya as MJ in the new Spider-Man movies. Good for her though, she was in a Will Smith movie.
