Previously.tv boards

The folks who created Television Without Pity have a very active set of TV discussion boards that they set up five years ago. The "Sherlock" forum has a good amount of activity; the thread about "The Final Problem" has 264 postings and nearly 12,000 views:

There are threads in that forum to discuss BC and MF. Because P.tv is a television-oriented site, it won't be the best place to discuss BC's movies in depth, but it would be fine for keeping people apprised of which ones he's going to be in.

Each TV show's forum has a moderator, and from what I've seen so far (browsing the "Sherlock" and "Young Pope" discussions), the postings are intelligent and polite. I think I'll make this my go-to site for reading others' thoughts on TV shows.

I'd never heard of that forum either, but I don't think it's correctly referred to as "very active". The Sherlock board has only had ONE post in the last couple of weeks.

True, there haven't been as many "Sherlock" postings as on IMDb in recent weeks, but there were over 250 postings just after TFP aired. Not surprising that there hasn't been as much activity now that the season has been over for weeks.

Anyway, Previously.tv looks promising for TV show discussions.

I'm withdrawing my suggestion about Previously.tv now that they've spammed every TV show board on IMDb. Too bad; it looked like a good site.

Well, they probably want traffic. They saw the opportunity. I bookmarked it but for now I'll stay with the proboards forums. If an alternative to IMDb turns up I'm sure that the people of MA will know about it.
