versatile is a perfect way to describe her. i have a personal bias for my love of her in penny dreadful but she is great in everything ive seen of her. frankly, the only redeeming thing in dark shadows, tbh.

I like the way she grabs the screen in the various dark moments of her characters, yet can switch smoothly into their nicer sides and whatever's in-between. I wish we had more Penny Dreadful to look forward to, but if that's not to be, I hope she gets other good roles that embrace her versatility.
