Well to be fair, I doubt whether a 32 year old Robert Downey Jr would have been treated with respect either.

Why wouldn't they treat him with respect? Does he have the clout or paycheck Downey does? Of course not. Does that matter? No. The guy isn't hurting for money, he has a decent sized paycheck.
