This elder brother Luke, had done some acting on Aussie TV shows and Chris followed into acting after he left school. After attending various acting schools and courses he got a few small roles on TV. His first break was getting the long term role on Home and Away. After 3 years he left to start again, and try his chances in 'Hollywood'. In the first 6 months there he was involved in 3 movies. Ca$h, A Perfect Getaway and Star Trek. Then came the script writers strike and a long time (about 9 months) without any work. Just when he was about to give up the LA acting dream, he was chosen for A Cabin In The Woods, and then shortly after secured more or less at the same time Red Dawn and Thor. Joss Whedon who was heavily involved in Cabin in the Woods, was partly instrumental in helping him gain the lead in Thor.
