I know that Horse Soldiers is being filmed in New Mexico and I also read that filming is scheduled between early December to mid-February. I haven't seen any other articles that confirm the filming time though.

I'm excited. I love Chris Hemsworth and I love the story behind this movie, I'm pumped to see it.
I don't see them releasing it that early right after filming. It has to go through at least a year in post-production. Also it's about 9/11 so they could want it to be an Oscar player or something.
But I love Chris Hemsworth too and I hope he gives a great performance (as well as Michael Shannon) so he could be in consensus for nominations. I hope.
It would be great if 2017 turns out like 2013 for Chris, when they released Rush (a dramatic low budget movie) and almost straight after released the next Thor (except this time Thor Ragnarok will hopefully get rave reviews). Especially if they might aim at getting Horse Soldiers into movie festivals.

shareHas it started filming already? I saw the pic Elsa posted about them being in bed for the movie. At first I thought she might appear in the movie but the pic could have just been taken during practice. Elsa has not been added to the cast on imdb so she might just be a stand-in until the real filming begins.
Also I don't think the movie should be released during award season/ Holiday season, maybe in late September or early October. Otherwise the competition could just kill its box office potential. What Chris needs is a true hit not award nominations for his movies especially if those noms are for someone else. But overall I'm very hopeful looking at the cast.
Although it doesn't seem that Elsa has officially been announced on the cast list, the fact that she makes reference with the insta photo of Chris being her on and off screen lover seems to indicate she's in the movie. IMDb is slow to update anyway, I mean accounting to it filming hasn't started yet. Also she maintains a regular blog on a Spanish mag site and she mentioned being involved in an independent movie with Chris.
As Horse Soldiers is an independent movie with a smaller budget it's unlikely to be big in the Box Office.
