He had a small role in orphan black. Weird how he didn't have a more significant part.

I wondered the same thing. Perhaps he's a fan of the show and just wanted to have a part on it?

I am holding out hope he may still turn up in Season 3 since Helena seemed to be heading out to meet him when she was snatched up in the S2 finale.
