She only needs to do a show a month, and she's probably making more than what she could make doing guest appearances.

It's funny because her previous costar Jewel Staite has said so much: being an actress isn't worth it anymore. She just does one of these conventions a month. Walks away with a garbage bag full of cash, which she doesn't have to report to the IRS. (Just kidding!)

That's probably right and fair play to anyone who can make that kind of cash. Let's face it, we all would if we could, right?

But I do doubt some of the figures mentioned in the article. Matt Smith makes a quarter of a million dollars for one days work? Sorry, not having it.

Yeah, I seen that. But what tripped me out was the Firefly actress Jewel, talking about making $10,000 a week for a guest appearance.. Like really?. I mean but it's different in their world. I mean $40,000 in two days is very attractive even compare to $10,000 a week.

That's weak. What happened to acting because you enjoy it? The way I see it you're already getting paid well enough for the role anyway, why is money still having the priority here?

You are not cynical enough.

But traveling must be fun when you're young. It gets worse when you're older and especially when you have kids.

Plus auditioning process can be embarrassing when you're a woman, especially.
