Captain Fantastic (2015)

Synopsis:

Ben Cash (Mortensen), his wife Leslie, and their six children (Bodevan, Rellian, twins Kielyr and Vespyr, Zaja, and Nai) live in a Tepee deep in the wilderness of Washington State. Far from society, Ben and Leslie devote their entire existence to raising their kids: homeschooling them to be rigorous critical thinkers in a self-designed, highly-advanced academic curriculum, training them like professional athletes, teaching them to flourish in the wild without modern technologies, and demonstrating the beauty of co-existing in harmony with the natural world. They've have created a fit and brilliant family and the highly evolved Cash children navigate the world with a preternatural insight and humor. But when Ben’s wife Leslie commits suicide after a long battle with manic depression, Leslie’s parents bar the family from attending her funeral, and Ben is forced to leave their self-created paradise. Thus begins a journey into the outside world that challenges Ben’s unorthodox parenting, brings into question everything he's taught his kids, and will ultimately alter the course of all their lives.

It was good to see him get the American break he deserves and he handled the accent as well as the Scots in 'Sunshine On Leith'. An extremely capable young actor. I wish him well.
