Several weeks ago I watched a movie about a young college girl who lives alone and performs oral sex on her dog. She keeps this secret into adulthood but finally confesses it to her fiance who is disgusted by her confession and drops her. The movie was quite good and has a nice ending. I swear the girl was Alexa. All the search I have done turns up nothing including the movies she is credited with. She was a blond in the movie and I think it had the word dog in it. I watched it on cable so it could have been IFC or the Sundance channel. The other actors in the movie were unknown to me so cross referencing didn't help. I saw her in Defiance and had trouble placing her. She is quite attractive. Does anyone recall the movie in question and/or if it really her?

Found the answer to my question after more research. Trouble I had was looking for a title 'Let Sleeping Dogs Lie' however the movie was also titled 'Stay' and reviewed under that title. The girl was not Alexa Davalos but an actress Melinda Page Hamilton! After seeing photos of them the contrast between the two is quite different. Both attractive and in my mind similar. The post who said Alexa looked like Jody Lyn O'Keefe was right on. In any event both movies are well worth watching.
