I love Alexa (she's one of my favorite upcoming actresses) but I dunno if she has the acting chops to be a compelling Talia or Catwoman... She's still growing as an actress.

I believe she does have the acting chops, see Defiance.

That said, Alexa is a very good choice for Talia or Catwoman.

Catwoman, so totally Catwoman.

Most importantly she's a great actress but she also very much looks the part. She's far less pretentious seeming than Rachel Weisz and she has a very noir look about her, high cheek bones, wide and piercing eyes, she's around Catwoman's height as well. She looks like one of Cameron Stewart's illustrations of Catwoman in which she was far more superior to Frank Miller's chauvinistic depiction.
