Saw the promos for Mercy Street on PBS -- he looks GREAT with the full beard. Why would he not have the beard all the time?
Without the beard, he's just meh. But with that full beard, he's hot!!

shareAfter watching this series for the first time last night, I had to look up
who was playing this doctor. Josh Radnor bears a striking resemblance to
actor T.R. Knight; and more than a passing resemblance to Jeffrey Dean Morgan
and Jeremy Piven.
I think that he is doing a superb job. This series was not universally praised
at its start, but it has some really interesting characters.
I will say that I never watched "How I Met Your Mother." (I must be one of the
few people in America who hasn't seen this extremely highly rated series.)
With the beard, he looks like a younger version of Mandy Patinkin, who also played a brilliant doctor with serious personal issues -- in Chicago Hope!
