From the cult TV show Firefly, then Stargate, and even "V"...we can tell Morena likes science fiction, and a new Star Trek series by CBS it's about to begin, announced for a 2017 release.
This show always had strong female roles, so why not Morena?
Plus, she was in a lot of themed shows, as I said.

Sure, it would be great to have her on the show, but it's very unlikely.
She just came off being the female lead in a huge blockbuster, Deadpool. If she were to leave Gotham, she would probably be chasing more film roles or a dramatic role in a high profile series.
She's still in her prime years in terms of earnings as an actress, so I doubt she'd want to be tied to a long term Star Trek show.
Also, Star Trek series tend to cast lower profile actors for supporting roles, so unless she'd be playing the captain, she's too high-profile for a regular role on Star Trek.
Yeah, she is a ready made vulcan i think.
