From what I read, there was a fascinating dynamic going on with Harry, his family, and Meghan. Before she showed up, Harry was happy, had friends, and would hang out with his brother and sister-in-law. He wanted to find a nice girl and start a family, just like his older brother had. But there was a side to the younger Prince that not a lot of people knew about. He resented being "the spare," and according to former classmates that went to school with them as kids, William was the nice kid that everyone liked, and excelled at his studies; whereas Harry was the spoiled, mean little bully who was average to bad with his grades (it's complicated, and Diana is partially to blame in this respect). There was even a time when they were kids, where William told their mom that he didn't want to be king, and Harry then said "I'll do it!"
Prince Harry had actually dated two different blond girls before he met Meghan. Everyone thinks that his one true love was this South African girl named Chelsea, but she (like the other girl before her) turned down Harry's marriage proposal because she didn't want to live in the royal fishbowl. She didn't want that kind of life at all, and I don't blame her. Even Kate Middleton had to adjust for a few years before she was able to handle the British Press as Duchess of Cambridge.
So here we have a guy who was turned down by two different women [including the love of his life], is secretly jealous of his brother, and all of a sudden, gets set up on a date with a dark, energetic beauty while visiting Canada. He has no idea that she's been stalking him for at least a year, networking with people who are members of the Soho House (an exclusive dining club that has branches all over the world, where rich, famous people can dine and even stay overnight). She does the best acting she can possibly do, and totally pretends to be the best thing that ever happened to him. He did briefly break up with her, but she crashed a wedding he was attending for a friend in Jamaica, she somehow convinced him to take her back, and they spend a "magical" week in Africa, where she totally manipulated him with all sorts of words to convince him to be her puppet without actually saying so.
A pity it was all an act, because now he deeply regrets it, 2 years into their marriage. You should see pictures of him now. He looks ragged, he's always wearing the same, torn, gray polo shirt, he looks like he's been on drugs, and he doesn't say anything online that hasn't been written or approved by his wife.
He has been completely pussy whipped and when she leaves him (and she will) it will be interesting to see if his family take him back all the way, as in restore his title. He really doesn't have any skills to survive without them and I think it has become obvious that his attempt to become a media darling has failed. No one gives a shit about him.

From what everyone's observed, Meghan basically married Prince Harry for the fame and fortune, and discovered the price she had to pay for that. In order to reap the benefits of being a "working senior royal," you gotta do a lot of stuff that would be considered boring, you have to dress a certain way, and there are a lot of rules and protocol one has to follow when part of the British Royal Family. Meghan basically wanted the money and fame without having to do all the work.
Some people have even speculated that she originally had her eyes set on Prince William, but he wasn't available in 2016 because by then, he had been married to the love of his life, Kate Middleton, for 5 years. Meghan has a lot in common with Wallis Simpson, including wanting to be Queen, and it wouldn't surprise me if she was bitterly jealous of Kate's unique position. Truth be told, however, Prince William is smarter than his brother, and would have never gone anywhere near Meghan, if he had still been dating in 2016. He would have seen right through her and refused to go farther than a first date, if he had even bothered.
So then, Megs sticks with her original plan of snagging a prince and running off to Hollywood to use him as a way to open doors. There's evidence to suggest she and her friend Markus (who originally had helped her bag Harry at the Soho House) are probably eyeing bigger game, though what billionaire would be stupid enough to marry Meghan now is anyone's guess. She's pushing 40 and has nothing to offer other than middle-famous connections in "the 'biz," a very lackluster career, a questionable background in the porn industry, and reputation for using people and dumping them, and a growing reputation for being very difficult to live/work with. Either way, she has ambitions, and probably plans to start a relationship with some stupid billionaire, dump Harry when the time is right, and use Archie as insurance in case that plan doesn't work out.
Meanwhile, Harry will probably go crawling back to England, beg his family for forgiveness for at least 5 years, and during that time, keep a very low profile like his uncle Andrew has been doing, and try to figure out where his life went wrong while the press and everyone else laughs at him for his stupidity. He might never get married again after that.
Looking at their circus of a wedding it is clear to me that she wanted to remake the Royals in her image. The black preacher and choir, trying to make it more low key - for a Royal wedding anyway. It was all just a joke and disrespectful. That laid the foundation of what was to come.
She was never going to play ball like Kate Middleton or even Fergie or Diana who at least started off trying to play along.
Meg is over I agree. All she can do now is divorce Harry take him for as much as possible and scurry off somewhere to live out her years. She won't be happy with that of course and she knows that her image is trashed and will be ablaze once the divorce is put in motion. Everyone is skeptical of her and for good reason.
Harry seems likable and laid back but people are over the privilege of the Royals and I think overall CoVid scuttled their plans for social media dominance as with so many people out of work no one is going to care about some spoiled rich kid who walked away from a set life to please his average (at best) looking wife.
Hooking up with the likes of Oprah and Obama too, yeah.. great plan Megs.
I doubt Harry will get married again, I think all the Meg wannabe's will be out in force trying to get him and I think he will be so humiliated form all of this that he will need a good 10 years to recover.
I am still surprised he was allowed to marry her, I know back in the 80's Prince Andrew didn't want Fergie but some much better looking actress but the Queen refused to allow it as she had done a topless scene. And we know Charles wanted Camilla but she was also not considered suitable.
Both seem light years ahead of Markle. The Queen must be slipping.
There is a rumor that claims Harry emotionally blackmailed the Queen by threatening to call her a racist to the press if she refused to let him get married. However, what has happened so far, doesn't seem to hold up to that. Everyone who was there, whether in the family, in England, or friends of the family, all observed that the royal family welcomed Meghan with open arms, which contradicts the above rumor.
To be fair, there were specific rules to whom the Queen could allow to marry her relatives, and honestly, Meghan wouldn't have had a snowball's chance in hell of marrying anyone in that family just 30 years ago. After Princess Diana's death, a lot of changes were made, including new laws written, in how the British press was allowed to treat the royal family, as well as providing more protection for royal family members from the paparazzi. In fact, the paps (as some people apparently call them) discovered it wasn't so cool to chase famous royals after what happened with Diana, so they've held back a lot since the 90s. Other laws were written relaxing restrictions on who could marry into the royal family as well, which was one reason the Queen eventually allowed Charles to marry Camilla, and Harry could marry Meghan.
In all honesty, Harry would have been happier if he had chosen to retire from being a working royal first, taken on a private life, married Chelsea in a private ceremony, and gone off to Africa to live with her and do the things he loved, such as helping the people there. He always said the happiest he ever felt was when he was in Africa, doing charity work.
Oh the "R" word again. It is crazy how much power that stupid word has. I can think of dozens of reasons why Meg is a bad prospect and none have anything to do with her skin colour.
It does seem the better plan if he did retire from being a Royal first. Chelsea would have been a better wife and he wouldn't have been castrated in the process.
Seems that some of these Royals get rather desperate and make rash decisions.
Harry clearly has some kind of inferiority complex related to his brother's position in life and it seems to me that Meghan and her Soho House friends have promised him the possibility to create his own legacy and achieve his own place in history. I doubt it will work out for him that way.
