I don't come on here as much as I used to,but after seeing some of the posts about poor reviews for his movies, what is going on?

For me his star isn't fading. He has much more to give in movies.I think some reviews were poor in general not especially about Micheal Fassbender's acting.I haven't seen yet the light between oceans and i loved x-men apocalypse.Maybe it's just bad luck. We'll see next year.

Yes!

Yes, compared to 2 or 3 years back, but that always happens, as long as he acting and makes the films he wants he will have a reasonable succesful career

He went for it like many lauded young(ish) actors. They get noticed and make a bid for one of the top slots - only a few make it and can consistently lead movies and be the draw that makes people go see the movie. I don't think he made it to that level but I'm glad as I think he is more interesting and better suited to smaller interesting roles or as part of a bigger ensemble. I don't think as many big stars are being made these days - just seems more to be lots of respected actors getting on with it and sharing out the parts. When I think of huge stars I think of Hanks, Cruise, Ford, Decaprio, Pitt, Gibson. Trying to think of the new crop and who is big enough to stand out and take their places.

So who do folk here see as being the new generation of top stars who will equal Hanks, Decaprio etc?

Bale? Bradley Cooper? Ryan Gosling? Are thei any young actors these days with that old top billing star quality?

The women seem to be having a tougher time of it, God - it's such a sexist industry. So who would the top women stars be or were?

Bullock, Roberts, Streep, Jolie? And who are their replacements?

that's just your opinion.
