Iowa Teacher Suspended

I Don't Care For Her But This Was Stupid

An Iowa teacher made some comment about finding his 'sniper rifle'.

What in the hell was this dork thinking?

reply

Greta has these deniers in a state, they can't think clearly. Good thing the didiot box is pumping out memes and hate to sustain them.

reply

not just iowa though

reply

True, ditto radio is everywhere.

reply

Fucking psycho triggered by the fact that a teenage girl has gained more attention than he will during the rest of his natural life.

reply

Bingo. That's what all these hateful reactions are about, insecure middle aged morons seeing her and going, "Holy shit! She's 16 and has the attention of these world leaders and the UN. I'm 40. What have I done with my life?" When you reach a certain age and it pains you to see someone more than half your age accomplishing great things, that should be inspiration to reevaluate your life, not to lash out like a jealous bitch.

reply

You left out his skin colour ... Or isn't he white.

It was just a crude joke. Seriously don't understand why people lose it over this stuff.

reply

What are you talking about? Are you drunk? Read what you wrote and tell me if it makes sense.

Yeap, he's 40 and he's a teacher. What a failure! How can he look at himself at the mirror! A fucking 40 years old teacher, what a shame!

Funny this SJW that declare themselves as 'pro-science'... that think that science is some kind of religion, and teachers are a bunch of losers that have failed to make something worthy with their lives.

A crude joke that wasn't funny yet people treat it like an actual assassination threat.... Seriously.

reply

Only psychos joke about killing or hurting people, especially teenagers, and especially after so many children and teens have been under attack by nutjobs both in the US (Sandy Hook, Columbine) and abroad:

Good on the school for putting him on leave. He should also be made to undergo a psych evaluation.

reply

Exactly. Try joking about a bomb in your luggage while standing in line at the airport, see where that gets you. No one with an ounce of common sense kids around in public about shooting people. With all the ѕhit that's happened we have no choice but to take these kinds of comments at face value, until proven otherwise.

I had a disturbing incident this week that made this incident hit home.

I had a driver this week that was taking me and someone else to a doctor's appointment. It was around 2PM, so kids were being released from school all over NYC. Every so often, he'd come across teens at various intersections as they were going home, and he'd keep "cracking jokes" about how one day he was going to "get" them (as in hit them with his car), because of how obnoxious they were. And the more he cracked jokes, the angrier he got to where he wasn't joking anymore. He was saying stuff like, "I'm serious now. One night I'm gonna get them."

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that there are certain types of "jokes" that can only from a really dark place. Let a person like that "joke" long enough and you'll see that they weren't really "joking." I absolutely hate Donald Trump (to the point where I can't even listen to his voice) but I could never, ever make a "sniper" or a "grenade" or a "bomb" joke as in, "Haha, he's having a rally; too bad I ran out of grenades this week," or something to that effect. I just don't come from that type of place. But a person joking about bringing a rifle to any person's appearance does.

reply

I would never say ...
>says it

reply

Please it was an obvious joke - sure distasteful, but it's completely different than being at an actual airport with a real bag claiming there is a bomb in it.

A bit like holding the severed head of Donald Trump up on live television.

reply

He may have intended it that way. But how many active shooters talked about it beforehand, and after the shooting every dingbat who knew them said "I thought they were joking!". For liability reasons alone the school needs to determine whether it was an attempt at humor, or more of a ha-ha, only kidding (not really) sort of thing.

reply

What active shooters have made an open, public declaration before doing it? Maybe they mentioned it to a couple people, but I can't think of any who put it all out there beforehand.

reply

Some just with friends, but a surprising number in recent years have left some pretty blatant comments on social media.

reply

No-one jokes about shooting people? lol ok. How many people have joked about shooting Trump without having to face any kind of consequences?

reply

Oh people do it a lot. There's a time and a place though, a teacher in their classroom is probably not one of them.

reply

Agreed but I would guess if a teacher joked in the classroom about shooting Trump, nothing would come of it.

That's nothing new. I have seen more than once the mainstream media using jokes and quote as actual serious sentences. It's a very common element this days. Of course, you have to read different media to be aware. Otherwise:

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/matt-baish-greta-thunberg-iowa-school-sniper_n_5d9aa2cde4b0fc935edc7d10

https://www.wric.com/news/u-s-world/iowa-teacher-on-leave-after-threatening-social-media-comment-about-greta-thunberg/

And think that in this case it's not particularly difficult to see it's a joke. After all, the whole message was one sentence. But this it's not always the case. Sometimes the joke is part of a longer text that can be edited conveniently, and the media just reproduces the edited elements.

reply

We live in a world where right wingers have been radicalized by ditto radio and empowered to violence by the president and frequently go on shooting rampages, we have to take these wackos seriously.

reply

Mass shootings in the history if the US are confined to the most recent Presidents term only are they?

reply

The right wing teacher might have been the latest but hopefully he's getting deprogrammed. The irony is republicans are sabotaging teachers and public schools across the nation to push their private school scams. This guy like all dittos was working against his own best interest, environmentally and professionally. Is there never a point where you think that maybe you've gone too far? Or are most dittos too far gone?

reply

Your post literally makes no sense. Absolute ramble.

reply

White males are being vilified, demonized, abused and discriminated. Some of them become completely broken and react violently.

You wanna blame? Blame the ones that vilify, demonize, abuse and discriminate them.

reply

Did the news lie about all of those shootings under Obama, or are you just so bitter at the bad orange man that it has affected your memory?

reply

Pretty funny, actually. He obviously was not seriously stating that he would shoot her.

"Deniers" (also known as the more scientifically educated) are not "in a state" over this sad, mentally ill child. They are amazed that leftists regard her as The Messiah. They find her hilarious. And they think it's despicable that she's being manipulated to push the political agenda of a hoard of lunatics.

reply

If she's mentally ill why do you think she's hilarious?

reply

Obviously he/she meant mentally ill in a LIEberal brainwashed way, which is always amusing.
