As Newt in Blomkamp's Aliens sequel...

Great idea. She's a good actress and looks totally alike. The only problem - she's too young.

Also, what's the point in bringing her into the story?

I don't think she's too young. Temple is 12 or 13 years younger than Carrie Henn. I think you could easily account for the age difference between her and Ripley by shaving off about five years off the time since Aliens, saying Newt is about five years older than Temple actually is, and saying Ripley is about five years younger than Weaver actually is, which would be saying Ripley is in her late 50s and Newt is 30ish; a difference of about 28 years which was very close to their approximate age difference in Aliens. With a little movie magic I think that could work.

As for why, I think they may have Ripley, Hicks, and Newt as a family in the next movie.

Yeah, i could see her as Newt

I've always thought she looked like an adult version of Newt too.

Great idea.

she would be a great choice.

Or just keep the real age difference and explain it with stasis pods.

They already have to explain what Ripley and Hicks have done for the last 20 years.
