Has she ever played a character different from her personality?


She seems to always be typecast as well, herself. Sarcastic, witty, and edgy. A bit 1 dimensional.

But if she has those qualities as a person, why not incorporate them into her acting? Some of the most acclaimed actors of all time have played off their inherent qualities consistently - think of Jimmy Stewart's 'likeable small-town resident', Bogart's 'tough guy', and John Wayne, who seems to have been BORN to play cowboys.
