His name on 'Reba'

Okay, this is probably a stupid question, but I've always wanted to know. What's his real name on "Reba". Is "Van" even a real name?

Yeah it is. I have seen pretty much every episode and I don't recall them ever saying it is short for anything or a nickname. I may be wrong though. But I do think it is his real name.

The last time you saw a signature this cool, you looked at my last post.

That's what I thought. Thanks.

Actually, there was an episode that he had his football jacket on and in the corner you could see his name and it looked like it began with Van but there was more to it, never could make it out though....even with pause rewind and everything with my DVR lol =\

Actually, they mention in an episode that involves his parents that his full first name is Donovan. Personally, I like the name and think Van is kind of a dopey nickname. But that's just me. I still LOVE his character!

I knew a guy in college whose first name was Van...and I don't believe it was short for anything.

His name was Van Montgomery.

My brother in laws name is Van. and it isn't short for anything. His mother's maiden name was VanBuren. All she had was sisters and there was no one to carry on the VanBuren name so she split the name up and his name is Van Buren.

His full first name was Donovan? That is funny. Just that name, full name, itself kind of takes away from who he is or I should it would make him appear more, smart, less funny. Like you said, Van is a dopey nickname and Van was really dopey. With the way he acted and who the character was, I just couldn't see anyone yelling DONOVAN! when he did something stupid. Yelling VAN! was better
