how did she get the name scherzinger?

her birth name was nicole prescovia elikolani valiente according to wikipedia, so assuming that wikipedia is telling the truth...where did she get the last name of scherzinger? that name is not russian, hawaiian or filipino...did she get married to a german guy and not change it....

reply

ok nevermind i read further down that her stepfather was german. that still seems very weird that she would have changed her name when she was 6 years old to that of her stepfathers surname...

reply

Pappy, it may not have been her decision. Her step-father may have adopted her or her mother and step-father just used Scherzinger to make it simpler.

My sister-in-law was married 3 times. She had 4 kids by her first husband but she changed their last name every time she married. Eventually, her children decided to keep their birth names. None of the step-fathers had adopted them.

reply

oh wow they had there named changed 3 different times? that's pretty crazy.

reply

Right, crazy! And, they went to the same school all that time too.

Did you see how Nicole might have used Scherzinger? Maybe she was adopted by her step-father.

reply

If I'm not mistaken, she was adopted by her step-father. Her father, who is Filipino and has the last name Prescovia, left when she was a baby. Her mother, Rosemary, met her step-father, Gary Schezinger, shortly thereafter, and he officially adopted her, therefore, they decided to make Scherzinger her last name.

You don't have to bet, ya stupid banana head. I'll bet for ya!
